Workshop - Kairos Quartet

CROMA'26 will feature a workshop with the Kairos Quartet on October 31, to be held at the Nossa Senhora do Cabo School of Music.

Led by the ensemble’s musicians, the workshop will include a segment dedicated to presenting techniques for bowed string instruments and modern compositional techniques. During the afternoon, participants will work on musical ideas in a session of reading and experimentation with composers, fostering collaboration and direct interaction between composers and performers.

REGISTRATION:
Participation categories:
Participant (for those who wish to work on a piece directly with the supervising composer) and Audience Member (for those who wish to attend only as listeners, not participants);

Maximum enrollment limit: 10 Participants and 15 Auditors (Participants who intend to perform their own works, those of the supervising composer, or works by another composer must submit the respective sheet music at the time of registration. Failure to submit the aforementioned sheet music by the registration deadline will prevent them from participating as a Participant);

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
- Participants: submission of materials for rehearsal by September 30, 2026

The REGISTRATION FORM must be sent to the email address: geral@apcompositores.pt, accompanied by proof of payment and, in the case of Participants, the score of the piece they intend to work on.
Payment must be made directly to the Portuguese Composers’ Association (IBAN: PT50 0035 0150 0006 8865 030 79).
