In the next session of the MUSIVUS project, which will take place on the 12th of November, we start a new segment entitled MUSIVUS in memoriam. The MUSIVUS Project maintains its format where, in an informal context, the work of a composer will be presented in a conversation open to the public. However, this segment focuses on a late 20th / 21st century composer, with a conversation between a guest composer and a performer who have directly contacted the composer in focus.

The first segment in memoriam will be about Composer Constança Capdeville, with the guest speakers Composer António de Sousa Dias, Double Bass player Pedro Wallenstein and Singer Luís Madureira. The session will take place in the Maestro Frederico de Freitas Auditorium, at the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores, at Av. Duque de Loulé, 31, in Lisbon, at 9pm.

As an activity promoted by the Portuguese Association of Composers (APC), project MUSIVUS proposes to divulge contemporary vanguard music, both in its compositional and interpretative component, focusing particularly on Portuguese music. In this sense, the project offers to a broad public the possibility to contact with the intimate reality both of the creation process of vanguard music and the multiplicity of processes involved in the interpretation of recently created works.

The third session of the fourth cycle of this project will be held next 12th November with the presence of Composer António de Sousa Dias, who will be talking with the Tenor Luís Madureira and contrabass Pedro Wallenstein about the work and importance of Composer Constança Capdeville.
