Project MUSIVUS organizes, in an informal context, a conversation between a composer and a performer, open to the public. The theme of these sessions focuses the work of an invited composer to be discussed and performed by an invited performer. The main objective of this project is to create a perspective dialogue between creation and interpretation of contemporary vanguard music. At the end of the session, the performer will present the discussed work.
The second cycle of this project that takes place at the Auditório Maestro Frederico de Freitas, Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores, Av. Duque de Loulé, 31, Lisbon will be completed next 11th march (monday) at 9 p.m., but promising a third cycle starting next month, with new guests.
As an activity promoted by the Portuguese Association of Composers (APC), project MUSIVUS proposes to divulge contemporary vanguard music, both in its compositional and interpretative component, focusing particularly on Portuguese music. In this sense, the project offers to a broad public the possibility to contact with the intimate reality both of the creation process of vanguard music and the multiplicity of processes involved in the interpretation of recently created works.
This fourth and last session of the second cycle receives the Composer Dimitris Andrikopoulos, who will be talking with portuguese guitar player Miguel Amaral, around the work “Clamor”, for portuguese guitar and Fixed Media.
